park city, utah!

So here are the highlights of our 4th annual ski trip to Park City, Utah! My dad, sister, mom, boyfriend and boyfriend's roommate and I flew out Saturday. We stayed at our timeshare at the Marriot Mountainside, right at the base of Park City ski resort. (ski in, ski out.. very nice!)
So we spend Sunday skiing Park City:
Please notice Andrea's strawberry hat and Steve looking awkward holding my poles:
Then Sunday night we went out to dinner downtown and tried some of Utah's finest:
Which ultimately led to an awful hangover on Monday. And Steve hurt his back so we decided to take Monday off skiing and rode the alpine coaster instead!
It went up right next to/ over the slopes and then released you. It went really fast and was a ton of fun!
Tuesday my dad and sister skiied at Deer Valley and enjoyed some $15 hot chocolates with peppermint schnapps: (Its the ritzy resort).
Everyone else stayed at Park City due to snowboard restrictions. Wednesday we had a change of guests, as Steve, Whitey and my mom went home. Kim and BG arrived though just in time for a ton of fresh powder! We skiied Park City and The Canyons in perfect powder conditions (we got at least a foot). We taught Kim how to ski in deep powder and through the trees. (She only "hugged" a couple). And greatly improved her skiing ability! We were very proud of her. Wednesday we came in an hour early from skiing to make tie-dye shirts! It was so much fun!!
BG left Thursday night which just left me, my sister, dad and Kim. So we skiied Snowbird with very exhausted bodies but enjoyed the powder and steep bowls and chutes. We took Kim down her first double black diamond chute, which she throughly enjoyed. haha.
They had this awesome moving sidewalk that took you through a mountain to the other side, which I had never seen before! Here's a pic of some rando's back.
Then Friday night we relocated to a hotel closer to the Salt Lake City airport to catch our early flight Saturday morning. We drove through SLC for a little and went to a diner that was on Diners Drive-In's and Dives on the Food Network (I'll write about that later). It was delicious! Altogether it was a great vacation!
And everyone is welcome next year. Mark your calendars: April 2-9, 2011!
